Lao Saal's innovation changes the cancer diagnosis options

Foundation Medicine, a subsidiary of Roche, acquired SAGA Diagnostics, a spin-off company of LUCC professor Lao Saal, in a deal worth up to $595 million. The key product, SAGA's Pathlight, is an ultra-sensitive test for detecting breast cancer recurrence.
