BioCARE - organisation
BioCARE (2010-2019) was a strategic research area (SRA) in cancer which was funded directly by the Swedish Government. The SRA was a collaboration between Lund University (LU; 70%) and University of Gothenburg (UGOT; 30%) and their respective university hospitals with a shared board which members are appointed by the Faculty of Medicine at LU. The student representatives of the board was appointed by the doctoral student council at the Faculty of Medicine at respective university. The coordinators were members of the board and were appointed by the vice-chancellor at respective university and the coordinator at LU was the Chair of the board.
BioCARE was organised as an open network and personnel in the cancer field connected to either LU, UGOT or their respective university hospitals were welcome to be part of BioCARE.
