At the international world cancer day February 4th, 2021, representatives in the oncology area from industry, academia and healthcare sector gathered during the day in a digital meeting.

Keynote speaker was professor Douglas Hanahan, Director of The Swiss institute of experimental cancer research, Lausanne Switzerland and there was also inspirational lectures together with short presentations and information about EU funding opportunities. The afternoon was booked for discussion sessions in breakout rooms in 4 of the 12 focus areas of LUCC: 1) Omics, bioinformatics and diagnostics; 2) Gastrointestinal cancer; 3) Clinical trials & drug development; 4) Urological malignancies.
